Still at TCH

We are still in Houston at TX Children's. Brayden's hemoglobin level dropped this morning from yesterday's #. He had to have a 3rd transfusion today and the # raised to 10 after that one. We will have to wait and see what the level is in the morning. If the level doesn't drop again we should be able to go home tomorrow afternoon. It will be a couple of months before we know exactly what is going on. The doctors say his bone marrow is creating new red blood cells but something keeps breaking them down. He doesn't have any immune or bone marrow problems so that is a great relief! He might just have to have a few transfusion every now and then until his little body can keep up with what it needs. It seems though that we won't know exactly what is going on or what caused all this for some time. There will be quite a few trips to Houston before it's all over. I'll try to keep things updated as we find out. Scott and I want to thank everyone for their continued prayers, it means a lot. A big hug & kiss to Aunt Angela & Aunt Kim. They came down with us and took turns staying the night shift with little Brayden so Scott & I could get some sleep at night and be rested for the days. There are lots of little babies here not fortunate enough to have family here with them around the clock.
